Located in Cobb County, Georgia, Smyrna is a thriving city with a total population of 51, 271. Smyrna is also nationally recognized for elected its first woman mayor, Lorena Pace Pruitt, in 1946 in the midst of the Second World War.
Today, Smyrna is governed by a Mayor and City Council, which are elected in four year terms.
